J. J. King - or Joe for short - has carpentry in his blood. Joe's father was a Master Carpenter and Builder, as was his Grandfather. Joe has been working in his family trade since the 1980s (when he had a lot more hair!) and his passion continues to this day.
Joe's work is heavily influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement of the late 19th and early 20th century (e.g. William Morris, Edwin Lutyens and Augustus Pugin) and the Shaker philosophy. Joe is inspired by the colours, patterns and shapes of nature and is passionate about the quality of craftmanship, both visible on the outside of a finished piece and in the internal build.
